Forklift Operator Training

  Forklift instruction takes approximately 5 hours for classes up to 15 people. Training consists of an instruction video with visual aids and discussion taking approximately 4 hours. A test will be administered at this time. Students are required to make 80% or better to pass the test. The last hour consists of a pre-shift inspection walk around and a short observation of each student operating the equipment. The training video covers the following topics.

	OSHA standards
	Classes of forklifts & forklift components
	Accident data
	Data tag / Operator manual
	Refueling & Battery information
	Pre Shift inspections and documentation
	Operator and Pedestrian responsibilities
	Determining forklift capabilities
	Differences between a Forklift and an Automobile

  A classroom setting to accommodate a projector and screen will be needed to conduct the training session. We will provide the projector, screen and all materials to conduct the class. Following the course, we will grade the tests and prepare operator cards and certificates. The sign up sheet, tests, cards and certificates will be sent to the customer when prepared. The certification is good for 3 years or the operator must be re-certified if they have an accident or near miss.

 

Forklift Operator Train the Trainer

   The Train the Trainer program takes approximately 8 hours of classroom and hands on instruction for a maximum of 3 people. A trainer manual will be included in the program.  Additional training materials and training aids are available upon request. The program will cover the following topics:
 

	Classes of Forklifts and Forklift components
	OSHA Standards
	Stability of Forklifts
	Proper Operation of Forklifts
	LPG, Gasoline and Diesel refueling
	Battery Care and Recharging
	Training Documentation
	Pre Shift Inspections
	Accident Data
	How to Conduct an Operator Training Class
	Materials that are available for conducting the Operator classes

Following the course, we will prepare the Certificates and send all related material to the customer. The Train the Trainer certification is valid for 2 years.
